Role overview

Having completed Series A funding, we are strengthening our corporate functions as our virtual power plant (VPP) and demand response businesses grow rapidly. As a future corporate team leader, you will play a central role across general affairs, accounting, legal and HR, from stable back-office operations to compliance and governance. We seek someone who can think independently and build systems, rather than simply follow a manual. Once a CFO joins, you will work closely with them as a core member of the team preparing for an IPO.

Your work

Main mission: As we strengthen corporate functions for business growth and global expansion, take over and develop operations previously handled by temporary staff and external specialists. We particularly value stronger in-house legal and compliance capabilities, and welcome legal experience.

Key tasks (you will be responsible for one or more areas)

  • Draft, review and maintain registers of NDAs, outsourcing, partnership, financing and other agreements.
  • Coordinate with legal advisers and external law firms and manage cases.
  • Develop, update and operate internal rules and policies.
  • Plan and deliver compliance training.
  • Address personal data protection and information security.
  • Handle legal matters for internal controls and IPO preparation.

2. General affairs & administration

  • Maintain and update internal rules, NDAs, outsourcing and employment agreements, and related registers.
  • Manage office supplies, facilities and vendors.
  • Support internal events and meetings.
  • Handle mail, documents and visitors.

3. Accounting

  • Select and introduce accounting systems such as freee or Money Forward Cloud, and design operating processes.
  • Lead monthly and annual closing in coordination with tax advisers.
  • Design accounts and accounting workflows for new business models.
  • Manage invoice-system and consumption-tax processes, expense claims and approval rules.

4. HR, labour administration & management support

  • Handle joining and leaving procedures and social and labour insurance administration.
  • Help develop work rules and internal policies, and support procedures for multinational staff, including residence status.
  • Report corporate operations to management, eventually manage a team and lead digital transformation of corporate functions.

What you bring

Required skills, experience & qualifications

  • Experience in corporate functions such as general affairs, accounting, legal or HR and labour administration. Legal experience is particularly welcome.

Preferred skills & experience

  • Workflow automation using Google Apps Script, Zapier or other no-code tools.
  • Qualifications such as Certified Social Insurance and Labour Consultant, Business Law certification or Administrative Scrivener.
  • Support for international employees or multinational teams, and English communication skills; reading and writing skills are also welcome.

Who we look for

  • Passionate about contributing to society and the world.
  • Enjoy a rapidly changing startup environment.
  • Eager to design and build corporate systems from scratch.
