Role overview

We deliver energy solutions, including energy-saving control and demand response, through optimal control of freezing, refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment using our proprietary IoT technology. We are expanding into comprehensive energy solutions that integrate third-party solar generation, batteries and energy management systems (EMS). This role owns product development from vision through feature delivery, maximising customer value and achieving business goals, as well as system installation for individual projects. As the link between engineering, design and business teams—including development, sales and marketing—you will define what to build, why and when, drive product growth and lead practical technology implementation.

Your work

Main mission: Own the full product development process, from product strategy and development leadership through continuous improvement using data and technical support for customer deployments.

Key tasks

1. Product strategy & roadmap

  • Develop product strategy based on market research, competitor analysis and customer interviews.
  • Identify and prioritise unimplemented features, including electricity-market interfaces, aggregator support and third-party integrations.
  • Balance market size, revenue impact and strategic value against technical cost when setting priorities.
  • Create quarterly and annual roadmaps and build agreement across management, engineering and sales.

2. Standardisation & product integration

  • Inventory and classify existing customer customisations as candidates for standardisation, individual maintenance or retirement.
  • Define common features and plan their integration into the standard product.
  • Plan and support customer communication during migration to standard features.
  • Establish processes and rules for accepting customisation requests.

3. Development process leadership

  • Prepare product requirements documents (PRDs) and backlogs, and communicate requirements to engineering.
  • Develop requirements specifications with technical teams and manage development costs.
  • Define user stories, support sprint planning, track progress and report regularly to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate specifications and integration requirements with third-party solar, battery, EMS and other vendors.
  • Lead improvements to development team structures and communication.

4. Data analysis & continuous improvement

  • Define and monitor key KPIs, including availability, energy savings, retention and customer numbers.
  • Analyse user behaviour after release to identify issues and implement improvements.
  • Pursue product-market fit using both qualitative and quantitative evidence.
  • Continuously monitor electricity markets, regulatory changes and competing products, and calculate deployment benefits.

5. Deployment technical support & PM support

  • Provide comprehensive technical support, including on-site work, to project managers delivering customer systems.
  • Organise technical issues across hardware, software and communications infrastructure, present options and support decisions.
  • Investigate customer-specific technical constraints, assess risks and share findings with project managers.
  • Feed customisation requirements and technical gaps discovered during deployment into product improvements.
  • Lead technical troubleshooting from investigation and response planning through resolution.

6. Quality control

  • Lead quality control to deliver reliable hardware and software products.
  • Build, manage and lead maintenance and operational support after systems reach stable operation.

  • Structuring and standardising customer requirements from a product perspective.
  • Technical fluency across software and hardware, sufficient to discuss with engineers as peers: programming, APIs, system architecture, data design, hardware, industrial equipment and basic electrical circuits.
  • Logical thinking and the ability to structure and communicate complex issues.
  • Business-level English for discussions with international engineers, joint development with overseas companies, and reading and writing technical documents.
  • Strong ownership of the company's products.
