We provide solutions that combine power aggregation with optimized control technology for industrial refrigeration and cold storage equipment—which are typically difficult to control—as well as HVAC installations.
Through DR (Demand Response) integrated with advanced controls, we transform existing and new refrigeration and air conditioning equipment—regardless of manufacturer or model year—into “revenue-generating assets.”
Participating companies achieve energy savings, DX promotion, and new monetization through DR while maintaining stable site operations. The local power grid becomes a reliable “Virtual Power Plant (VPP)” that supports a stable supply to the wider community. Beyond balancing economic efficiency and sustainability, we lead the global decarbonized society by creating new value from existing assets.
*In this service, “generation” refers to “megawatts,” where the amount of electricity consumption reduced through DR (Demand Response) is treated as having equivalent value to generated electricity. It does not involve the physical installation of generators.
In alignment with the IEA’s “Net Zero Emissions by 2050” and the Japanese government’s “Basic Policy for the Realization of GX,” the importance of DR (Demand Response) to balance electricity supply and demand is growing globally. In response to these national policies, Greenphard, as a pioneer in creating DR resources through proprietary IoT technology, aims to establish a connected ecosystem capable of supplying 200 MW of DR resources by 2030.
We are already contributing large-scale DR resources to the “Capacity Market,” which began operations in 2024. Moving forward, we will also enter the “Supply-Demand Balancing Market,” creating further revenue opportunities for our customers and contributing to the stability of our entire society’s power infrastructure.
